ARRIVE EARLY! As with all races, we encourage you to plan your morning and arrive early enough to the event to allow yourself ample time to get to the Appleby campus and get settled in before the festivities commence. If participating in a 10k event you must pick-up your chip on race day in the gymnasium from 7:00 AM - 7:45 AM ONLY!

Please BE GREEN! Consider riding your bike, taking public transportation, taking a cab, ride sharing, or carpooling to the event. 

RIDE YOUR BIKE TO THE RACE! We want to encourage participants to ride their bike to the event. There will be bike racks available for you in the Athlete's Village, and an incentive provided on-site as you lock up your bike. You must show your bib in order to receive the incentive, generously donated by Cyclepath (www.cyclepath.ca). Only the first 100 participants are entitled to the incentive, so please arrive early! And, please REMEMBER to bring a lock with you to lock-up your bike.

We know you are resourceful, yet want you to be aware of all of the transportation options you have available to get to the race... 

Participant Shuttle: A shuttle service will be available to participants leaving from the Oakville GO Station. Parking will be available in the SOUTHWEST parking lot (located at the intersection of Cornwall and Old Mill Road - this is west of Trafalgar on the south-side of the GO Station). One Mercedes-Benz 10k volunteer will be on-site at the GO Station facilitating the shuttle. The shuttle will operate from 7:00 am - 8:00 am, with shuttle times of 7:00 am, 7:15 am, 7:30 am, and 7:45 am. There will be two 24-person buses operating the shuttle service. Participants will be dropped off close to campus (at the southwest corner of Birch Hill Lane and Lakeshore Road West). Upon conclusion of the event, participants will be picked up at this drop-off point and shuttled back to the GO Station. The return shuttle will operate from 11:00 am - 12:00 pm, with shuttle times of 11:00 am, 11:15 am, 11:30 am, and 11:45 am.

Parking: 
There will be NO parking available on Appleby College campus. Participants and spectators are advised to park properly and have consideration for the neighborhood in which you park your car. Please be aware of one-way streets and streets with no parking zones, as improperly parked vehicles may be ticketed or towed at the owner’s expense. Please also DO NOT PARK IN ANY CHURCH PARKING LOTS! And remember, it is not such a bad idea to park further away from the race site as that will afford you an opportunity to jog to the start as a warm-up, and walk or jog back to your car as a cool-down. 

Directions: 

From Pearson Airport:
Go west on 401 to 427 South. Go west on the QEW and take the Dorval Drive exit (one exit after Trafalgar). Go south on Dorval Drive to Lakeshore Road West. Turn right (west) and drive 1 km to Appleby College, located on the left (south) side of Lakeshore Road West.

From downtown Toronto:
Go west on the Gardiner Expressway (which becomes the QEW) and take the Dorval Drive exit. Go south on Dorval Drive to Lakeshore Road West. Turn right (west) and drive 1 km to Appleby College, located on the left (south) side of Lakeshore Road West.

From Niagara Falls, Hamilton, and Burlington:
Go east on the QEW to Dorval Drive exit. Go south on Dorval Drive to Lakeshore Road West. Turn right (west) and drive 1 km to Appleby College, located on the left (south) side of Lakeshore Road West.
